evt7.GIF (20058 bytes)Black Opals  - are mined almost exclusively in Lightening Ridge, Australia.  No other stone displays such a broad range of color as Black Opal.   Within a single stone, combinations of blue, green, lavender, red, orange and yellow fire can be found.  The gray to black background of Black Opals makes for an intensification of all these colors.  evt8.GIF (6255 bytes)

jems.GIF (17225 bytes)Paraiba Tourmalines   -  are best described as neon, blue-green gemstones.  The combination of chromium, copper and gold, within these extremely rare gemstones, yields wonderful hues of blue and green.  In a league of their own, Paraiba tourmalines possess a brightness found in no other colored stone.

evt9.GIF (11150 bytes)Tsavorite   - was first discovered in the late 1960's in the Tsavo National Park, which is located in southeast Kenya, near the Tanzania border.

The combination of vanadium and chromium is responsible for the green in Tsavorite.  With a higher refractive index than emerald, and no known treatments, Tsavorite is quickly becoming the choice green among gem dealers.  However, clean stones in sizes over 1 carat are exceedingly rare.

With direct access to a Tsavorite mine in Kenya, we offer a broad range of Tsavorite (including fancy shapes) at wholesale prices.
